When I see lobster tails on sale I go for them. But my stand-by lobster + garlic butter recipe just wasn’t going to cut it this time. Too mundane as far as a lobster salad meal goes, right? Thankfully, a while back a chef-friend introduced me to The Flavour Bible — an amazing encyclopedia of flavour affinities. So when I’m in a situation JUST LIKE THIS I can pull out the book and make up a recipe based on what ingredients go well together.

According to the book, lobster served with browned butter and a little bit of vanilla is supposed to be an amazing combination add some orange slivers for a crisp citrus feel (and just cuz I’ve got a crateful of clemmys on my kitchen counter right now) and the rest is history!
