I'm hosting a Workshop!
[one_third]Baby number two is 6 months old and I feel like it's taken me this long to finally get into the swing of things. Some might say two under two + freelance design + side hustle Etsy shop + prepping for craft shows + planning events with a mommy group would be enough. But I like to keep things fresh... LOL. [/one_third][two_third_last]The first time I played with felt was when a friend (hey, Clare!) got into making little animal figures for her son. We had a mommy-makes playdate and each of us made a snowman stuffy out of felt. Now, if you're a knitter or crocheter you know that amigurumi characters can take a while to work up, so I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly our little snowmen came together and how easy it was to work with felted wool.
Fast-forward to this year and I've been experimenting with new materials and have added some new items to my Etsy shop... mostly lots of the "grow-with-you" hair bows. I sell them in colour co-ordinated packs of two so that you get a crocheted bow AND a felt bow. And this was really where I started experimenting with felt... Felt vs Yarn
Anyway, I love how the colours come together and the shapes can be as intricate or as straight-forward as you want to make them. As far as crafts go, there is a different feel when working with felt as opposed to working with yarn in crochet projects. Both are great stress relievers for me but I feel like felt really lends itself to beginners if you want to sit and be meticulous or feel incredibly crafty without the hours of practice to build muscle memory and without the investment of expensive tools or anything like that. Yay felt!

Workshop Deets
The workshop will be held at the cutest little fabric store in Milton, Oh, Look Fabric! It's right on Main Street so it's super easy to get to and parking is free so I really hope you and a friend can join in the fun! There will be a limited number of spots in the workshop but you'll be provided with everything you need to make a bunch of succulents and create an arrangement that can sit on your table or be mounted to your wall.For more details and to reserve your spot in the workshop:
